Terms and Conditions
Last updated October 10, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and me, Amir Harel, the individual who makes Sound In Motion. Sound In Motion is an independent project, not a company. The terms cover Sound In Motion Pro for iPad and Mac, Sound In Motion Lite for iPhone, the website soundinmotionapp.com, soundboards and the online services behind them (together, "Sound In Motion"). By using Sound In Motion you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy at https://soundinmotionapp.com/privacy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Using Sound In Motion
Sound In Motion is free to download and use. A Pro subscription unlocks exporting your work (video with your new mix, audio mixes and stems), sending sessions to other apps (AAF, XML and similar) and the full soundboard collection. Features may differ between the iPad, Mac and iPhone apps and may change over time.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sound In Motion, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live (or have a parent's or guardian's permission).
Your account
You can use the apps without an account. If you sign in (with Sign in with Apple), you're responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your devices secure. You can delete your account in the app at any time; what happens to your information then is described in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and free trials
- Subscriptions are bought through Apple's App Store and charged to your Apple Account. Apple's terms and payment rules apply.
- Plans: monthly, 6 months and yearly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your currency.
- New subscribers get a 1-week free trial. You're charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel or change plans in your Apple Account's subscription settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com).
- If you sign in with the same account, one subscription unlocks Pro on iPad and Mac and Lite on iPhone.
- If prices change, Apple notifies you as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Your work is yours
You own the projects, videos, recordings and mixes you make. I claim no rights to them. They stay on your device unless you use a feature that sends something to the server (such as AI spotting or soundboard sync). In that case you allow me to process it only as needed to provide that feature, as described in the Privacy Policy, and for no other purpose.
Make sure you have the right to use the videos and other material you bring into Sound In Motion.
Sounds: what you may do with them
The sounds included in Sound In Motion and its soundboards are licensed to you, not sold. As long as you use Sound In Motion under these terms, you may:
- use them in your own productions (films, videos, social media, games, ads, podcasts, music and similar), commercial or not, in any media, worldwide, without royalties or credit
- keep using productions you made with them after your subscription ends
You may not:
- sell, share or give away the sounds on their own or as part of a sound library, sample pack, soundboard or similar collection
- use them in another app or tool that lets other people make sound effects with them
- register them, or productions that use them, with content-identification systems (such as YouTube Content ID) in a way that claims the sounds themselves
Sound libraries you import yourself are governed by their own licenses.
AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence to suggest sounds and where to place them. The results can be wrong or incomplete, so review them before you publish anything. Using these features sends content to AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
Soundboards and changes
Soundboards and features may be added, changed or removed over time. The soundboards built into the app stay available in the version you have.
Pre-release (beta and TestFlight) versions may be unfinished, change at any time or stop working. If you send feedback or ideas, I may use them to improve Sound In Motion without owing you anything.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use Sound In Motion for anything illegal, or to infringe anyone's rights
- try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the security or subscription checks of the apps or server, except where the law allows it
- misuse the AI features or the server (for example by automating requests or reselling access)
- upload material you have no right to use, or material that is harmful or abusive
I may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Ownership
The apps, the website, the sounds, the soundboards, the Sound In Motion name and logo, and the technology behind them (including US patent 9,343,053) belong to me or my licensors. These terms give you only the rights they state.
Apps from the App Store
If you got an app from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies. These terms are between you and me, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the apps, their maintenance or support, or any claims about them (including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Third-party services
Sound In Motion uses services from other companies, such as Apple, Google and YouTube. Your use of them is also subject to their terms, and I'm not responsible for them.
No warranty
Sound In Motion is provided "as is" and "as available". I work hard to make it reliable, but I don't promise it will be free of errors, always available or suitable for a particular purpose. Keep your own backups of important work.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business. As far as the law allows, my total liability for any claim about Sound In Motion is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if that is more.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by agreement, or liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending
You can stop using Sound In Motion and delete your account at any time. I may stop offering Sound In Motion or parts of it. If I stop it entirely, I'll give reasonable notice where possible. Paid subscriptions are then handled through Apple. The sections on your work, sound licenses for productions you've already made, ownership, no warranty and limitation of liability continue to apply.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or another country with mandatory consumer protection, you also keep those protections and may bring claims in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
When I change these terms, I'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, I'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Sound In Motion after that, the new terms apply.
